lyrics

ej z sitem w polu chodzi
mąkę z solą nosi

co trzy krok przystaje

i wiatr szeptem prosi

In order to calm the wind down, flour and salt were brought to the threshold of the house. It was believed that if the wind blew it away, it would go somewhere else, full up. When the wind called Halny began to blow in the mountains, the unmarried girl would go around residential buildings in accordance with the movement of the sun, carrying flour on a sieve. At each stop she asked the wind "Come, don’t misprize."
